All staff can use this smart form to view Column F, % of Worked Hours Billed, for any legal staffer or All legal staffers by setting filters:

   •  Start Date and End Date, and
   •  Select All or a legal staffer

Although lost billable time for various reasons occurs regularly, billing at least 80% of the hours spent furthering cases is a reasonable minimum. Monthly awards are given when the recent 3-months average Column F, % of Worked, is greater than or equal to 80%. Performance Pay is increased when the recent look-back semester (6 months) Column F, % of Worked, is greater than or equal to 80%.

These monetary rewards and the recognition incentivize staffers. Additionally, the bigger gain comes from the increased billing efficiency that directly translates to more billed hours and more money for Staffers and the business.

Note, red numbers in Column C mean entries were not made on the same day as billable work was done. On other columns, red numbers mean lower than par. The dollars in pay that were personally lost or gained at the bottom of Column J should not be in red (which would mean $ lost).

Note, near bottom of form, this example says, “Based on your average hours per day of 7:31 you need 0 [zero] more Clients.” This is a good indicator as to when and how many new clients a legal staffer likely needs.

Note, in this example, Rich Gold billed for work on Saturday, 7/06/2025, which allowed a Column D entry of fewer hours than 7:30.
